Mr. Charles Wesley Queen

Charles Wesley Queen, 82, husband of Yuvonne Gamble Queen, passed away Sunday, June 26 in Lexington, KY. Born November 29, 1939 in Lexington, he was the son of the late Frank Wesley and Irene Owens Queen. Mr. Queen served his country proudly in the United States Army Corp. and his community proudly on the Lexington Fire Department. He was a member of Saint Luke United Methodist Church. Along with his wife of 56 years he is survived by three children, Joetta (Jon) Queen Ellenwood, Charlton Queen and Jonathan (Irene) Queen; eight grandchildren, Elijah, Benjamin, Sarah, Clover, Micah, Oliver, Willow and Jackson; two great grandchildren, Gage and Skylar; a special nephew, Ernest Sacra and extended family and friends. Along with his parents he was also preceded in death by a son, Lanny Queen. A funeral service for Mr. Queen will be 12pm Thursday, June 30 at Kerr Brothers-Main Street. Burial will follow at Camp Nelson National Cemetery in Nicholasville, KY. Visitation will be 11am until the time of service on Thursday at the funeral home.
