Sterling; a nephew Christopher Faris of Ohio; Mike and Sandra McNally and Garry and Lynn Glass of Ohio; and many relatives and friends in Lexington, Georgetown and Pikeville. She was preceded in death by her son, Richard Carl Pullen, 52 of Lexington; her parents, Henry and Olga Blackburn of Pikeville; her sister and brother-in-law, Marketta and Edgar Faris of Mt. Sterling; her nephew Alexander Faris of Mt. Sterling; in-laws, Carl and Frances Pullen of Georgetown; and step-in-laws, Emma and George Buckley of South Carolina. Geneva was employed for over 40 years at the Lexington Public Library. Her tenure began as a stint at the original Lexington Public Library on Second Street in Lexington. Her career progressed as manager of the original Branch Library on Southland Drive, bookmobile, branches on Lansdowne Drive, Harrodsburg Road and others. She was highly involved in the planning, location and construction of the main library downtown and numerous branches throughout Lexington. Her career culminated as Deputy Director of the library system throughout Fayette County. Geneva especially loved cruising on Holland American Lines to various locations in the world including a special 48 day cruise around Australia and New Zealand on her 50th wedding anniversary. Other cruises were to the Caribbean, Mediterranean, Alaska, England, Ireland, Scotland, Russia, Germany, Budapest and others. She will be sorely missed by all her friends and relatives in Lexington, Mt. Sterling, Georgetown and Pikeville. Special recognition is given to her friends Jeannine Stober and Norma Miller of Lexington, Anthony and Linda Stith of Versailles; many coworkers at Lexington Public Library and our neighbors, Richard Walker and Carl and Laura Palazzolo. We wanted to recognize her Lexington Family Physician, Michael Carr and staff for excellent care for many years. No services are planned.
