Jeffery Dixon
Funeral Time: Saturday, April 10th at 2:30PM
Jeffery Dixon, at the age of 45, passed from this earth to his eternal home in heaven on Tuesday, April 6, 2021. He was placed on this earth for a special purpose on July 6, 1975, in Harlan, KY. Jeffery served many while working at Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Center and the VA Medical Center in Lexington, KY. He recently discovered his true passion for teaching nursing students at KY Healthcare Training in Lexington. He is preceded in death by his father, Myrthul Dixon. Jeffery will be forever loved and cherished by his adoring wife, Kellyn Dixon of Lexington, KY, and his devoted mother, Norma Dixon of Cumberland, KY. Being the youngest of a set of triplets, Jeffery will always be a part of Terry Dixon (Lexington, KY) and Jerry Dixon (Madison, IN). There are four older siblings who will also miss Jeffery for the remainder of their lives: Kathy Dixon Hughes of Cumberland, KY; Melvin Dixon of Cumberland, KY; Jess Dixon of Partridge, KY; and Michael Dixon of London, KY. In addition to his brothers and sisters, Jeffery will continually be missed by his brothers-in-law, Carlton Hughes and Ben Chaffins, and sisters-in-law, Sheila Dixon, Katie Dixon, Tracy Dixon, Heather Dixon, and Lenora Dixon, as well as his mother and father in-law, Karen and Mark Chaffins. Jeffery leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, Noah Hughes of Marquette, MI; Ethan (Kersyn) Hughes of Lexington, KY; Madison and Karsten Dixon of Cumberland, KY; Caleb and Katie-Beth Blair of Partridge, KY; Joseph Dixon of London, KY; Dakota Dixon of Cumberland, KY; Madilynn Dixon and AhLanie Grossman of Madison, IN. A very special cousin, Mark (Eda) Turner of Putney, KY and their children, Jared and Elyse Turner, will always remember the special bond they shared with Jeffery. There are many other family members, friends, and co-workers who will never forget the extraordinary times spent with Jeffery. His gifts for singing and playing multiple musical instruments in church will remain in our hearts and ears for years to come. Jeffery’s wife, Kellyn, would like to invite everyone to celebrate his wonderful life on Saturday, April 10, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home on Harrodsburg Rd. in Lexington, KY. Visitation will be from 12:00-2:30 and funeral services will follow at 2:30 with Kellyn’s uncle, Ronnie Chaffins, officiating. Jeffery will be laid to rest with his other family members on Sunday, April 11, at 2:30 in Huff Cemetery located in Cumberland, KY. Beloved friend, Rev. Ronald Johns will be conducting the graveside service. In lieu of flowers, Kellyn is asking that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association in memory of Jeffery.
