Charles Moore
Funeral Time: Friday, February 26th at 12:00PM
MOORE, Charles Henry “Charlie”, 89, husband of Willadean Moore passed away on Feb. 19, 2021 in Lexington, KY. He was born Dec. 13, 1931 in Harlan, KY, the son of the late Alex and Mary Moore. Charlie was a Harlan High School graduate, and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He managed a finance company, and owned and operated several used car dealerships in Lexington. Charlie is survived by his wife, Willadean; four of five children, Charles J. Moore, Mary K. Whittingham, James L. Moore, and Audrey “Mitzie” Graves; two grandchildren, Charles Whittingham, and Justin Whittingham;a sister, Bonnie Moore-Spastafor; and a niece, Jennifer Alexander. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah “Debbie” Moore-Eckler. Charlie was devoted to God, his family and friends. Funeral services will be held 12 pm Fri., Feb. 26 at Southland Christian Church, Wayne B. Smith Chapel. 5001 Harrodsburg Rd. Nicholasville, KY with Greg Chandler officiating. Visitation will be at 10 am Fri. until the service time at the church. Burial will follow at Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Gary Sinise Foundation, P.O. In loving memory of Charlie, our Dad. He was a very loving and thoughtful man. He joined the Army to take care of his Mom and sisters and he was also there for his brother. Our Dad was known for always lending a helpful hand to anyone. He was always thinking of his family and others. We love you.
