Byron A. Wiseman
Byron A Wiseman of Lexington passed away peacefully at home on Friday January 29, 2021. Byron was born August 20, 1930 in Estill County, KY to Millard and Grace Hunt Wiseman and grew up in Richmond, KY before graduating from Eastern Kentucky University in 1956. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War. In 1951 Byron married Eloise Moores. Byron was employed as an accountant by IBM for over 30 years, as well as family businesses Dasher Express & Air Freight and 3W Construction after retirement from IBM. Byron was an avid woodworker and outdoorsman enjoying fishing, bird hunting, gardening, camping and hiking. His passing comes just 4 months after that of his wife of 68 years, Eloise Wiseman. Also preceding in death are siblings Raymond (Betsy) Wiseman, Juanita (Harry) Ramsey and brother-in-law Wayne (Philly) Howard. Byron is survived by children Bev (Mel) Dean of Lexington, Steve (Jill) Wiseman of Lumsden, NL and Jeff (Kathryne) Wiseman of Lexington. Grandchildren Jennie LaMothe (Robert) of Ft. Mitchell, KY, Melvin (Andrea) Wiseman of Nicholasville, KY, Clay Wiseman of Portland, OR, Chase (Allison) Wiseman of Los Angeles, CA, Christina (Mark) Hoddinott of Berea, KY, Zack (Jenna) Wiseman of Lexington, Stephen (Virginia) Wiseman of Toronto, ON, Jake (Jillian) Wiseman of Lexington, 4 great grandchildren and numerous nephews, nieces and great nephews and nieces. Kerr Brothers-Main St. is in charge of arrangements. There will be a private service and burial at Camp Nelson National Cemetery on Tuesday.
