Jane Lee Cheatum born June 24, 1931 in Cincinnati, Ohio to belated father Walter and mother Mamie Bonner. Jane Lee was one of 11 children: Walter Jr., Alice, William, Anna Belle, Lillian, Franklin, Bruce, Walter Lawrence, and Robert (all deceased), Margie Finnell.Ms. Jane has two daughters Arlene Fuller (Louisville, Ky) and Mamie Reed and caretaker (Lexington, Ky), grandsons Alex Dumas, Jacob Elam, Matthew Elam, and granddaughters Jayne Hogan and Celisa Martinez, five great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.To her family she was known as Momay, smart, wise, loving, caring, and was respected by her family and everyone she met. Jane Lee gave everyone nick names and called her daughters, Krinkle and Cookie. Jane Lee worked as a KP in the dining facility on Ft. Knox, Ky for soldiers that came from all over the U.S. for many, many years and then retired. She helped raise and babysat all of her grandchildren. While living in Radcliff for most of her time then later moved to Lexington. Jane gave her grandsons the love for football. Jane loved her family, dogs, she was energetic, fun loving, kept it real and straightforward and everyone loved her for it. Jane was always surrounded by her family. She loved cooking for everyone, grilling out, hanging out clothes on the clothesline, planting flowers, hanging up plants in her house, and cutting her own grass into her late 70s. Jane read her Bible daily, knew, and worshiped Jesus Christ. She survived lung cancer for 5 years, then the cancer came back, and now she has gone home to rest with her family in heaven. A 2:00 pm memorial service will take place Monday, July 6, at Bread of Life Assembly of God: 1705 Jennifer Rd. Lexington, KY 40505
