Pearl Couch, 85, husband for 62 years to Zola Eversole Couch, passed away Mon, July 8, 2019 at the University of KY Hospital. Born in Perry Co., KY, he was a son of the late Zelphia & Boyd Fields and Walter and Zola Couch. Pearl was retired after 20 years from the United States Air Force and also spent 12 years as the Perry County Sheriff. Besides his wife, he is survived by 3 daughters, Peggy Riley, Linda Couch, and Patricia Brown; 2 sons-in-law, Bobby Brown and Chuck Clayton; 17 grandchildren, Adrian & Ashley Crawford, Melanie & Michael Heist, Jonathan Wooton and Kayla Hall, Jason Wooton & Linda Welch, Joshua Wooton & Courtney Polston, Aaron and Gregory Knight, Derek & Rachel Fugate, Dustin Fugate, Brittney & Jeff Rockwell, Brandon Brown, Andrew, Michael & Zachary Clayton; 13 great grandchildren, Camden Heist, Cole, Reese & Olivia Crawford, Ryder Wooton, Tyson Little, Ava Grace Wooton, Ashlyn & Jeffrey Rockwell, Riley Wooton, Shane Welch, Brianna Hall, and Breenan Breeland; 3 brothers, Carter & Versie Couch, Eddie & Brenda Couch, and Johnny & Tammy Couch; 2 sisters, Bonnie & Ed Stacy and Bessie & Joe Maxey; and a host of nieces, nephews, beloved friends and neighbors, and his brothers and sisters in Christ. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Raymond Couch, Walter Couch, Jr., and Billy Joe Couch; a sister, Adeline Anders; granddaughter, Angela Wooton; and brother-in-law, Alex Eversole. Funeral services will be 11 am Fri, July 12, 2019 at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Rd. with burial to follow at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
