With love and gratitude, we remember a life well lived. Laura Elizabeth Gale Ure passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2018, just before her 72nd birthday, due to complications related to Parkinsonís. Her adventurous spirit from a young age and strong work ethic as an environmental engineer led her to every inhabited continent on this earth, and her Christian faith and her love of animals and nature will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends. Her son, Matt Foster and his wife LL Foster in Mt. Sterling, KY; daughter, Jenny Silbiger and her husband Aaron Silbiger in Kaneohe, HI. Feisty and fun Grandma Gale to Jeff Foster and Philip Foster and to Charlotte Fujinaka and Olivia Fujinaka. She was preceded by her loving husband Bruce Ure. Her prior spouse also preceded her, Roger Culbert. John Foster, her first husband, also predeceased, was the father of her children. Laura made friends everywhere she went and she is remembered for her strong spirit and zest for living life to the absolute fullest. A memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. on July 14, 2018 at Morning Pointe Recreation Room, 150 Shoreside Drive, Lexington, KY 40515 with Emmy Nelson and Dorothy Lehman.
